In 1954, Richard King began this business by creating kitchen cabinets. While the company has gone through several incarnations, his vision has remained steadfast: to provide quality custom woodworking design and craftsmanship creating one unique project after another. You will not find the inexpensive expedients of staples, plastic, cardboard, fake veneers or particleboard in our work. Instead, you'll find sturdy components built to last for generations-tightly fitted and glued mortise, tenon and other traditional joinery, and solid hardwoods hand-finished to a luster that retains and emphasizes every nuance of its own natural beauty.

Richard King & Sons defines "custom". We differ from companies who use standard size cabinets and fillers to obtain what they call a "custom fit". Our products are individually crafted to fit each particular project using top-grade hardwoods at competitive prices. We do not mass-produce any item - each order is custom made for you. The resulting look and workmanship cannot be matched by, "ready-made" woodwork. Our quality and craftsmanship speaks for itself.

Because our products are expertly handcrafted in our own 10,000 square foot, full capacity woodworking shop, we can guarantee the quality, durability, and affordable pricing that have been our trademarks from the beginning.
